Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
My dear friends @Shaz51@Faith-and-Hope@Zoe7@Maggie@Former-Member@Determined@outlander@Former-Member
Thanks so much for your messages. And yes, I think of you all often too. Little Holly is her usual delightful self. She's a little rascal that one.
It really helps to know people care enough to take the time to post here.
I havent been around much lately. Life's pretty difficult right now.
My Mum was sent from her small country town to the city hospital yesterday. She has blood clots in the lungs again. I cant be there for her because my husband is really unwell. And its a 7 hour drive away.
In the last few days hubbys health has gone downhill noticably. I'm really concerned because his deterioration seems to be following the same path it did in the leadup to his last hospitalisation in April.
He had a (monitoring) ct scan yesterday and we see his oncologist next Tuesday. But .. I dont know. Something isnt right and he's becoming so weak again. And losing his appetite. For him, thats significant.
I just really worried.
Sherry

@Former-Member I can only imagine how you would be feeling with both mum and hubby not traveling well at the same time ... 😔
Sending ever so gentle thoughts your way.

Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
Ah @Former-Member, so sorry to read hubby's health is deteriorating again. Hopefully the specialist will be able to help on Tuesday, perhaps increasing his steroid dosage to help with his appetite, but whatever he directs I hope it sees hubby feeling better again very soon. Please let us know how it goes - as I really do genuinely care for you. I do know how hard, heartbreaking, draining and frightening it can all be. Don't forget to self nurture as your health is important too. Sitting with you my dear friend 💖🌹🤗xx
