Well, it is the 19th of January - the end of the first 14 days of my Excercise Plan and Goals.
The Qi Gong was done religiously for 3 days, then my knees started to play up so I stopped. Total of 45 minutes of Qi Gong done when I had 'planned for 2.5 hours.
Totalled several hours of gardening though!
I walked approx 12.5 kilometres with 4,25 hours spent doing so.
So While I might not have done EVERYTHING I set out to do, i have been MUCH more active and focussed over the past 14 days.
My sinus/cold/unwell thing is still upon me so I am just sitting that out, once the lesions have healed up I will get int he pool!
I wish I could walk on the beach again @Mazarita, the unevenness and the 150 metre walk across the dunes does my back in... Although the jetty recently had stairs added to take you down closer to the hard sand area - but I am not sure the doggits would manage the stairs. So maybe, one day i will venture forth again to walk on the beach, I too become so much calmer close o the sea. I feel in my 'element' there.
I reckon we have all done so well over the past fortnight! Well done everyone, your presence here has been such a boon!
My goals for the next 14 days are to continue to walk (I was going to increase the length of the walk - because my first fortnight was supposed to be 15 minutes - but have been doing 25 minutes anyway, so will continue on with that as often as I can. AND as soon as I have healed up to get to the pool, that is likely to be next week now.
Cheers everyone and congratulatons for every step, every asana, every run, every bit of exercise we have achieved!
*PS: @Former-Member - hope the guided meditation works well for you, I find I get 'lost' and trance very easily with it, and like you am very suseptible to the sound of the voice so has to be 'just right' otherwise I get irritated!

@CannonSalt for strengthening your core try pilates or/& yoga - you can find books at your local library if you don't want to go to a class. Also planking is very good for building core strength. For strengthening your arms I recommend push ups (I think they may be good for core as well) &/or bicep curls.
@MoonGal you have done so well!! I'm glad you can see that!!
I enjoyed hot vinyasa yoga today. There was only three of us & the lovely instructor. It was a nice intimate class for a change. @CherryBomb I attempted scorpion!! Oh my - I only got to downward dog, right leg up, jump both legs up for a second!! I kept trying over & over though. I could really feel that I needed to build lower back strength for that!!
I'm thinking I might have a rest day tomorrow. I've exercised for the last 4 days.... Maybe I should push myself to 5 days & then have a rest day. I don't know....
Namaste,
Anna

Hi everyone,
Got up this morning even though I'd had very little sleep, met with support worker and we went for an hour's walk on the beach together. Legs held out well today. After she left and I'd had a breather, I went for another walk to the local shops (there and back is about 20 minutes). Legs are a bit stiff now but so glad I got out, moving the body again, getting some vitamin D, and taking in the local sights, sounds and other sensations. Hope today inspires some movement for others too.

Hi @Mazarita,
I have to say... you inspired me to 'want' to get up and go for a walk - yours sounded absolutely divine. Whether or not I manage to on our very humid day, but i was truely inspired. Thankyou

Hello!
@MoonGal congrats on getting past your first 14 days, and doing more exercise - that's awesome! Hope the next 14 days goes well. Remember to intergrate lessons learnt from the previous 14 days just gone by. Sorry to hear that you've been unwell too. Hope you're on the mend.
@Shaz51 Great to hear you've been walking. Btw, hope your cat is ok (you mentioned that you got him/her from the vet today.
@Former-Member wow scorpian is very challenging (included a link for some pointers, and for others who may not know what it is)! I'm so impressed that you gave it go. With practice, and patience, it'll come. The other day, my teacher encouraged my to start doing drop backs on my own at home. I usually do it with the assistance of my teacher or with a wall. Tried it today at home today. Landed on my head Wasn't too bad though. Think I just didn't get my hands (from prayer position) to the ground fast enough, but they caught some of the weight.
@CannonSalt Congrats on your feat, 'The Hill of Doom' - sounds scary! I think the plank might be a good core work out to add to @Former-Member suggestion of the push ups.
Go team!
