Re: Hobbies and Projects

@avant-garde that looks absolutely amazing, I love it 😍

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@tyme yes it's 30 by 30cm. It took me ages to do but mainly cos I forgot about it. I've got another one to start now which is the same size.

Coasters would be so cool to make.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Otherwise, HAMA beads are cool too. The ones you iron. I've made some cool art with HAMA beads, but I don't have any photos. @Gremlin24

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Ru-bee ! The cushion cover looks awesome! Wow!

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@tyme yes Hama beads are fun aswell and I've made some things too but also don't have photos.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Sorry! I don't know whose intellectual property I'm 'stealing'. Please forgive me in advance! Someone posted loom band animals on the forums (but I can't remember who!). I've been amazed with them ever since. So if it was you, feel free to let me know and the credit goes to you.

So to all those who are interested, here's an example:

Make this Rainbow Loom Charms Rubber Ducky Tutorial / Design made with Loom Bands. I will show you how to make this loom band cute 3D Rubber Ducky. It will float, but I can't guarantee it will stay upright :) Please slow down the playback speed if it's to fast for you. Thanks for watching!!

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@tyme i posted some pics of my loom band creations so maybe it was me. They are fun to play with but also fiddly and don't get me started when one breaks mid project 😂.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

I’ve got loom bands somewhere @tyme. I don’t think I through them out. I might have to have a look for them

Re: Hobbies and Projects

I found some pics that I've taken from my garden, thought I'd share them here for others to enjoy. Nature is truly beautiful 😍

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Yes! Well it was someone, so it must be you @Gremlin24 Thank you for sharing. I was so enlightened. Even my niece was in awe.

I think I'd be too frustrated to work with loom bands. When I was a teen, I probably could. Now? Nope.

Yes @Gremlin24 , I know what you mean about one snapping mid project. My niece made me so many loom bands (I hate them), and I remember she made a keychain one for me. I had my keys on it, and you know with plastic, it rots in heat and becomes brittle? Well... I was out and this loom keychain suddenly falls apart because ONE loom band snapped... the next thing, I was walking with a trail of loom bands on the floor following me.

From that date, I said to my niece NEVER give me a loom band creation again!

@Gremlin24 @Oaktree @Captain24 , anyone know if there is a way to preserve the plastic on loom bands after you make the project? Hairspray? Glue?
