Re: Best Friends Club

Heya @Shaz51 @Oaktree @MissinTooth @Bunniekins @PeppyPatti ,

Just popping in to say Good Morning pals!

Re: Best Friends Club

@MissinTooth , How'd you go this week?

Re: Best Friends Club

@tyme good morning.

This week things have been challenging. I am not in the best place personally and things that I've tried to implement for me have left me feeling frustrated and invisible.

Work has been difficult as well, student behaviour has escalated and I feel kind of unsupported and insignificant.

Not a brilliant mindset this week and some big emotions that feel like a slippery slope.

I am doing something for myself today and meeting with the only person I can think of who is safe and supportive and the only person I listed in my support network and I'm gonna try and talk to her about some things. She lives by the beach, and we're gonna walk and talk and do coffee and lunch. So, I'm worried/nervous but also looking forward to a bit of change of pace.

 I'm sorry if this is too much in a social space 😕 and not what you intended @tyme

Re: Best Friends Club

Hugs @MissinTooth , hope your day goes OK xx

@tyme @MissinTooth

Good morning.

Sorry to hear things have been challenging for you @MissinTooth

I am glad you have put some self care in and I hope that makes a difference for you. How are you doing @tyme

I am doing well. All up to date with my study so taking some rest time this week

Re: Best Friends Club

Well done with your studies @Oaktree 🥰

Any plans for the weekend

Re: Best Friends Club

@MissinTooth I have family somewhere in Tas that I have never met. My grandfather was from Tasmania but he died on the HMAS Sydney 2 before my dad was born so I never got to meet them. All the photos I've seen of Tas are just beautiful, I think Tassie is God's apology for NSW! (Just kidding! I'm formerly from the 'South!)

Re: Best Friends Club

Dear @MissinTooth

Thank you for your courage in sharing how challenging things have been for you.

frustration, invisibility, and insignificance,....

Student behaviour ...

.
– you're not oversharing at all.-

I like how you write your post because it's easy to read and you can identify with parts of it when

Other people affect you.

It's a really positive and strong step to arrange to meet with your trusted friend

. Having that one safe person to talk to is invaluable. The plan for a walk, talk, coffee, and lunch by the beach sounds like a perfect way to create space for yourself and that conversation. While it's understandable to feel nervous,

Maybe --- I would at least find it nice.

Re: Best Friends Club

Love to you all.

Going slightly crazy sitting here in a tiny unit with two men sitting opposite me. My ex husband who says my name over and over again and Mr Rocker watching the footy.

Tiny unit !......

Re: Best Friends Club

@PeppyPatti it was actually really lovely. I shared some things, she shared...so it was mutual. She has lived experience with mental health and understands. She doesn't judge. And a change of scenery and some winter sunshine was nice.
