Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI @PeppyPatti @Oaktree
what is Foundation Day?

Is it the celebration of architectural footings?

Footings are very important.

Re: Best Friends Club

Hello @Glisten , @Oaktree , @PeppyPatti , @ENKELI

Raining 🌧 here all day today

Is that the 1st June @ENKELI

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten despite feeling like a deflated balloon your comment made me smile. Thank you sweetheart, it means a lot right now.

It's now called WA Day, but was originally called Foundation Day - celebrated on the first Monday of June and it marks the day when the first European Settlers arrived in WA. It is a day to reflect on how awesome WA is and our heritage etc. There are usually events happening throughout the state, plus there are also WA Person of the Year awards presented. Australia day for WA only.

Re: Best Friends Club

@Shaz51 the first Monday in June hon. I need to update my software as it is now called WA Day not Foundation Day, but since @Glisten has our brain at present I'll have to wait for her to finish with it 😄

Re: Best Friends Club

No 😆 @PeppyPatti  my friend & her boyfriend crew and skipper in yachting regattas regularly.
Her brother also has a yacht at the same club. He is former SAS.

Re: Best Friends Club

@Shaz51 Sorry @ENKELI here 🧠 you hold on to our brain.

I might misplace it, like my car 👈🏼 👀👉🏼🧭 🤳

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten @ENKELI I'm loving this chat you're having!

I can attest to Tassie being a great place to get away.

How is life in WA?

Hello @Shaz51 , how are you?

Re: Best Friends Club

@Spirit_Healer  I’ve lived in NSW and QLD. I love WA.

The sunsets too soon on the East coast and the shorter daylight hours freak me out.

I love the heat here, I love being outside in sunshine 🌞

Re: Best Friends Club

We like tassie @Spirit_Healer

How are you my friend 🧡

I am going OK,  just very tired

Re: Best Friends Club

@Shaz51 I've been back at work, working five half-days a week for six weeks. It's been more exhausting than I could've imagined. Even yesterday and today, I got home, had lunch and then a decent nap. I need to remind myself to be proud of myself for my 'recovery' and what I've been able to do.

I'm also still getting used to these tiny decreases of my sedating medication. It's been making me eat more then I need: I crave junk food right after my main meal. And now these cravings have almost gone, and I need to retrain myself to fall asleep at night.

@Glisten I count myself lucky to say that I've travelled to every state and territory in the country. And I've lived in Victoria and SE Queensland. What a beautiful country we live in!
