Re: Tabaluga's

yeah , done with games, but thanks @Oaktree  did some research on centrelink stuff that DES provider has asked me to do. Getting paranoid about it. my next ESAt or thing that determines hm hours I could do a week, is not due for another 9mths . Without saying why, they want me to take a form to my GP and give to centrelink which will trigger a new assessment, instead of just waiting til next one, which is just a nurse from cenno ringing me. normally GP not part of the process and they are pretty slack looking up my records from WA that I got sent over. So they miss stuff out and trivialise things. hence am worried that involving GP in assessment, which would not have happened otherwise could lose me my pension healthcare card ( I am on jobseeker but w reduced capacity) it worth '000s a year these days with all the extra subsidies on utilities etc)

anyway, off to bed. nite

Good luck re centrelink assessment. Maybe put it off as long as possible.
Goodnight, hope you get some sleep

I know a little bit about the Centrelink DES side of things.

Technically they are only allowed to have you on their books for 2 years before they have to let you go. Some try and cheat the system by rushing the esat to keep you on their books because they don't want to have to try with someone new because to them you're easy money.

With a new esat before the 2 year mark you'll get referred to them again in which you'll get another 2 years with them.

In regards to the GP, it will be helpful for your next esat and especially if applying for disability support pension.

I was on DES for 4 years with the actual hopes of them helping me find a job, they did nothing, to them we're lost causes getting them easy money.

I flooded Centrelink with documents to get me on DSP, that after chewing up 2 DES providers, reporting them both higher up the authority to get them fired.

I gave Centrelink 300 pages of documents.

You can switch providers now, but getting on DSP is your best bet. Switching providers now will trigger a new ESAT but also they may tell you if it's enough to get you on DSP

Re: Tabaluga's

Hi @avant-garde  the 2 years only just ticked over, no one told me, just got asked what I was doing there when went for an appoinment.

this Esat thing just seemed to pop up during conversation, not like it was deliberate, unless they got a prompt from system while re-registering me. and yes, was told next Esat not due til november .

I have been with DES several times, got cut off  benefits like 5 years ago and it re-set and had to ask to go back on it. yes , had varied time with like 6 different providers in 2 locations, I was on sick certs mostly to get them off my back when they started hassling me , would have a sane friendly contact person, then they quit, interview frequency doubled, then given new person who knew nothing, got promised stuff that never happened etc, then one before this tried to get me working in smelter at 62 years, bad back, obese and heart condition, 'oh you only put on weight cos not working'.. then told them doing certIV , succession of wrong info, i reported them,at least once, changed to this one who approved full time study (that I arranged, paid for and got myself to , with ZERO help from them) now, been going there for a while without sick certs as got used it with study. They talked about me working, and seemed to flip flop between whether I should be on DSP or trying to help me get work. in the past they told me sick certs counted against the 2 years that you need for path to DSP, so was in DES for like 6 years continuously , but with gaps from sick certs

I looked into DSP few years ago , getting info from cenno page on F B it seemed I wasnt even close, but the 2 year route could be a goer. I have been told its 'complicated' ie has to be done by DES provider and maybe doesnt pay as well as just having me on books, dunno. I have had a pension healthcare card for 7 years maybe, and am 5 years off age pension if the dont change it again. so being on DSP would okay be around another $300 a fortnight more than jobseeker.

Thanks for the info. and hope you get some sleep.
