Sorry for the delay, I've not been online for about a week, dealing with issues.

3 cats, you're one up on me! I have 2, my ginger ninja likes to wake me at 5am so he can have his treats that he's addicted to. I love my moggies but yes they are trouble too!

Hope it's cooler for you today, we have 45 degrees today. I don't ever recall it being this hot in Perth. Time to move to a cooler location!

@TAB I would have to say I'd not have taken the job either. Having to pay accommodation and rent as well as find someone to look after the cat, it's irresponsible of an employer to expect that if they aren't going to pay a decent wage.

I've had issues with my JSA as well (what you call DES), they've had outages as well, maybe we're with the same provider! They sent me the same sms 4 times over a week. I am thinking of going back to call centre work which I did for 20 years and really didn't like it. I figure I've been out of it for 10 years, I am sure I could do it for a couple of years.

There is something better out there for us both!

yes current situation :

• stress free cat
• $413/wk
• 0 rent
• min fuel
• big concessions on utilities, car rego etc as have pension healthcare card

• option 'B' (job)
• $1300/wk
• $400ish extra rent
• $150 ish extra fuel
• No concessions after 12 weeks (say $50/wk)
• paying someone to feed cat $50
• cat stressed out

so 38 hrs for $160ish /wk nett benefit, not to mention job stress, students (young) etc etc

and if paying $500 ish rent (quite posssible) getting close to zero financial gain
